30 jul 08: These first prototypes are devices built to test various threshing concepts. They are not designed as practical solutions, but to most quickly and easily explore whether beating, shearing, blowing, sucking, flicking, etc. are viable mechanisms of millet threshing, or what combinations, constraints, and other specific challenges our thresher will have to address.

Prototype concepts tested include

rotating drum concept
corn sheller concept (hollow bearing or hollow brush)
bike wheel concept
vacuum cleaner concept
mill concept
wire brush (in various geometries and motions)
