Eights students in Donna's Appropriate Design in the World class are working on further iterations of the IDDS 2008 pearl millet thresher. They will continue the idea of removing only the grain from the pearl millet panicle, exploring the possibility of a thresher designs that incorporate winnowing and/or can be used by multiple users. The students will coordinate their efforts but have been divided into two subgroups.
